Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
